Three Female Harajuku Portraits

Three more pictures from a different Sunday at the gathering point of "Cosplayers" near Harajuku station. I find that some people really get to the spirit of things and take on a completely different persona, at least I hope its a different persona, from their normals lives.

While talking with the girl in this first picture, (Red flowing gown and her companion dresses completely in black) it stuck me as odd for the two to coordinate and pretend to be husband and wife, if only for a day. The joys of having simple, yet expensive imaginary fun...

This second picture of a girl in a long and flowing black gown was the most spectacular character I witnesses. Never stepping out of her assumed persona for even a second. Her clothes, her manner and everything about her down to the lunch she packed was in character. (I observed her eating black rice balls and drinking bright red juice)

I stayed and talked with the woman in the final picture for nearly an hour. We talked about all sorts of things, but mainly centering on the fact that she is a housewife who, once a week, gets dresses up in assorted cute and sexy outfits and walks around the area posing for pictures and just enjoying the scenery as she put it. A every interesting woman, an amazingly cute.
